Apple, iPhone 16 will have a Super Zoom Telephoto sensor

For several years now the devices of the world iPhone they lagged behind in one respect in particular Android. When you need to take a picture using the zoomthe performances are in fact not on par with devices equipped with Google’s operating system.

The main reason is that the top of the Android ranges are now equipped with so-called sensors with zoom periscopici. This particular technology uses mechanical movements within the lens to allow images to be magnified without losing any detail.

Part of this gap should be filled with the launch of the next line-up iPhone 15 Pro e Pro Max, at least as some rumors suggest. During the last few hours, however, new rumors would have spoken of 2024: it could be the year that will decree the victory of Apple smartphones over Android ones from the zoom point of view.

iPhone 16 could integrate the periscopic superzoom

The most accredited sources expect great improvements regarding the future iPhone 16 Pro. According to reports, Apple’s high-end smartphones should include a sensor inside them ultra-telephoto periscopico.

Such a change would result in a very long focal length. Suffice it to say that the lenses of current iPhones reach a value of 77 mm, while the focal length available with zooms useful for sporting events is 300 mm.

Such an upgrade would therefore make the next iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max real cameras, probably even able to beat what has been done to date by the Galaxy S23 Ultra Of Samsung. The top-of-the-range device from the South Korean company now boasts a focal length of 230mm, while its direct rival Google Pixel 7 Pro reaches a maximum of 120 mm.

Clearly it is perhaps a bit early to make predictions, but the first rumors see Apple ready to beat the competition once again.
