The presentation session by Blu Products continues unstoppable, which specifically raised its performance bar a little with the new Blu S91 Pro.
Leader in the domestic market as regards low cost smartphones, the American Blu Products has already given a “big brother” to the recent entry level Blu S91, represented by the new Blu S91 Pro, priced at $ 158.
The entry level Blu S91 Pro (164.7 x 76.0 x 8.9 mm for 202 grams) has two alternative colors for the plastic coverback, Matcha Green and Dark Night, while the mnemonic set-up proposed is only one, with 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, expandable via microSD (thanks to a dedicated slot) by another 256 GB. At the front, the front offers a water drop notch for the self-camera, 13 megapixel, with Face ID.
The display of the Blu S91 Pro is a 6.52-inch IPS LCD panel, resolved in HD + (1600 x 720 pixels, 270 PPI), according to an aspect ratio of 20: 9 and a screen-to-body of 81.6% (due to very pronounced chin), also suitable for gaming thanks to the 90 Hz refresh rate.
The back of the Blu S91 Pro smartphone offers a slightly raised rectangular totem on the left, with a 50 megapixel main sensor (f / 1.8, burst, phasic focus, digital zoom, face detection, touch focus), one 2 megapixel secondary for depth and another 2 megapixel for macros. In the center of the “back”, within reach of the index, there is a circular porthole for the scanner dedicated to the acquisition of fingerprints.
The MediaTek Helio G37 octacore processor (2.35 GHz), made at 12 nanometers, works in tandem with the PowerVR GE8320 GPU: on the energy side, the battery inserted in the Blu S91 Pro is a 5,000 mAh unit, chargeable at 10W via microUSB Type -C (with reversible connector 1.0 to load other devices). The connectivity section of the device does not include 5G, but only 4G, together with Bluetooth 5.1 LE (A2DP), GPS (Beidou, A-GPS, Glonass, Galileo), 3.5 mm mini-jack, Wi- Fi ac (dual band, direct, hotspot). Finally, the operating system is Android 12.
