At this year’s Computex, hardware announcements are flooding and, after HP and Samsung, it’s the turn of the local Asus to present a series of products, actually more than anything else adjustments to the 12th generation Intel, conferred on the ExpertBook B9 and B7 Flip notebooks. destined, from the third quarter of 2022, starting from 1,399 dollars, to premium business users.

The flagship model, the ExpertBook B9 (B9450), according to the company is one of the lightest 14-inch laptops on the market, and certainly the lightest on its list since, by opting for the 33 Wh battery, we stops at 890 grams in weight, which rise to 1.005 grams, doubling the capacity of the battery which, strong at 66 Wh, however, promises up to 16 hours of autonomy. The screen is a resolute 14-inch panel in FullHD with an aspect ratio of 16: 9: it does not change the webcam, from 720p, with infrared for Hello authentication.

Instead, the processors move to the U15 series of the 12th gen Intel, with the possibility of choosing a median i5-1235U, going up to 10 cores (4.8 GHz) with 12 threads of the more performing i7-1265U: the RAM, LPDDR5, reaches a maximum of 32 GB, while the storage, SSD PCIe 4.0, stops at a peak of 2 TB. Equipped with the classic touchpad with virtual number pad, the renewed ExpertBook B9 uses Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, and includes several ports, including a USB Type-A, a combo jack for headphones, an HDMI 2.0 and a pair of Thunderbolt 4.

As betrayed by the internal language of Asus, the ExpertBook B7 Flip is instead a convertible, Basic still uses a 14-inch LCD panel, FullHD + or QuadHD +, with aspect in 16:10 for productivity, touch and compatibility even with pens equipped with MPP technology, such as the optional Asus Pen: among the confirmations, there is the 720p webcam with infrared for Hello. The big change is underbody, given the adoption of 12th generation Intel processors, plus TDP’s 28W P-series (up to the i7-1270P with vPro). The RAM, upgradeable to 64 GB, can go up to 32 GB, while the SSD storage, PCIe 4.0, goes up to 2 TB.

Optional with 5G (with the consequence of carrying around the relative slot), the default ports in the renewed ExpertBook B7 Flip are very wide, with the manufacturer providing the headphone jack, the smart card reader, two USB Type- A, as many Thunderbolt 4, a micro HDMI (useful for the Ethernet adapter) and a mini DisplayPort.
