At the current edition of Computex 2022 in Taipei, in digital version like Microsoft’s Build 2022, several producers of hi-tech hardware solutions, including Samsung, and HP, are on the scene these days. Asus, which has already unveiled the updated versions of its premium ExpertBook B9 and B7 Flip laptops. in the past few hours, in tandem with Nvidia (which also collaborated with Philips, to bring G-Sync and access to GeForce NOW to some new OLED TVs), it also showed a sensational 500 Hz esports monitor.

Asus RoG Swift 500 Hz, this is the name of the unveiled output device, will use – according to the Taiwanese giant – a 24-inch panel resolved in FullHD +, and therefore from 1,920 x 1,080 pixels, with a look that recalls the already known Asus RoG Swift 360 Hz, currently on sale on Amazon Italy at 662.89 euros.

To substantially differentiate the new product from the old one, in addition to the aforementioned refresh rate, now 500Hz, contributes to the fact that, where the previous model used a Fast IPS panel, the new one uses a new type of TN panel (with fewer angles). visuals, but also with a more reduced motion blur). Specifically, Asus talks about the use of an “E-Sports TN Panel” which, compared to normal TN, would improve the response time by 60%.

Dedicated to eSports in competitive multiplayer video games such as “Rainbow Six Siege”, “Valorant”, “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” ‘, and “Overwatch”, the new Asus RoG Swift 500 Hz monitor benefits from Nvidia’s Reflex Analyzer functionality which, after having a recent GPU, a compatible mouse, and suitable software, allows you to measure the input lag and reduce it at the system level (being able to obtain, for example on “Rainbow Six Siege”, the reduction of 30 % of input lag).

Also among the specifications communicated about the new Asus RoG Swift 500 Hz gaming monitor, the Nvidia G-Sync Esports mode stands out, which improves the vividness in eSports, returning the sensations of HDR to SDR images as well, letting more light pass through. the LCD crystals, acting on the mini-LED backlighting and on the IGZO (Indium-gallium-zinc-oxide) transistors.
