Foldable smartphones, here are the first models from OnePlus and Oppo

Good news at home OnePlus: the Chinese company officially spoke about its first leaflet the OnePlus Open, showing the public the first information about it.

Of course, this is a big step for the company which, to be honest, is not completely new to the matter and, through its sub-brand Oppohas already brought to the market l’Oppo Find N and theOppo Find N2two very interesting leaflets which may have also inspired the work on the “parent company” model.

OnePlus Open, what we know about the foldable

Naturally, there is little information about it and is limited to the rumors shared by OnePlus Same.

However, we know that the new foldable it will have an innovative zipper which will be 37% more resistant than that of the Oppo Find N2 and will be made with fewer components, which will clearly lead to a substantial weight reduction.

In addition to this it is easy to hypothesize that OnePlus has chosen top of the range specifications which could follow (and improve) what was done with the Oppo foldable.

So, if that were the case, the device could have two much more generous displays compared to the other model, with the first rumors indicating 6.31 inches for the external one.

In addition to this, the other rumors speak of a chip with great potential, probably a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 or maybe a brand new one Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3not yet officially announced.

Alongside the processor it is said that there will be up to 24 GB in RAM and up to 1 TB of storage.

Very promising information which, if confirmed, could really make technology enthusiasts happy and, above all, lovers of foldables which would end up having technical specifications identical to those of the “classic” top of the range.

When OnePlus Open arrives

From what we know OnePlus Open is expected to be officially announced in China on next October 19th.

The device should be released under both the Oppo and OnePlus brands, perhaps with some limitations in memory cuts or in the choice of processor.

Given this “double release” it is clear that only one of the two will arrive in the Global version and, according to rumors on the web, it will be that of OnePlus.

An unconfirmed hypothesis, certainly, but in any case it would allow the Chinese company to throw down its gauntlet to all those giants already engaged for several years in the production of leaflets, such as Samsungfor example.

For now, this is all we know about OnePlus Open and, of course, not knowing the complete technical data sheet it is also complicated to make any conclusions. price assumptions.

It is true that since it is a foldable one, one certainly cannot expect a low cost and, following what happened with the devices of other brands, it is clear that such a device will cost at least 1.900 euro for the basic version until moving towards i 2.300 euro for the top of the range, perhaps with 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of storage.
