There are various applications under the management of Google which guarantee possibilities of all kinds. Whether for browsing, organizing files or communicating, the giant is certainly the most active in the mobile world.

Google Chat for example, it offers a wide range of functions commonly found in messaging apps. However, it must be remembered that all instant messaging platforms often have some shortcomings and this aspect also concerns this famous application. More specifically, there is one basic aspect that is missing from Google Chat, namely i audio messages. The good news is that this gap will soon be filled.

Some very reliable sources have revealed that Google Chat is preparing to introduce a much-needed feature: i voice messages. According to reports, this feature can be easily activated via a flag in the Google Chat app for Android. The launch is expected within the first quarter of 2024, so we shouldn’t even have to wait too long.

According to information found on the web, the same activation flag would also be available in the app Gmailwithin which Google has integrated the Google Chat functionality.

Voice messages can be recorded using the button of the microphone at the bottom right of the display, as shown in the screenshots above and as happens with all other messaging apps. The microphone button therefore replaces, at least temporarily, the send button which reappears later, when the user starts typing in the text field or after finishing the voice recording.

Finally, users who use this platform will be able to have a function that all rival apps have already had for years. This means only one thing: Google wants to do things big just as it declared in 2023.
