Now, however, the situation becomes even more interesting: the Mountain View giant is about to add artificial intelligence to the desktop version, taking advantage of Gemini.

Google Chrome brings Gemini to its desktop users

Gemini is currently Google’s flagship AI assistant and is slowly supplanting Assistant on Android. For many, the use of artificial intelligence on Chrome for desktop might seem useless at times, but apparently the progress made has recently been very great.

Google has in fact improved many aspects after the initial experimentation, leading Gemini to become an additional resource in all respects. At the moment the AI ​​is accessible via desktop by connecting to the dedicated official pagebut in the latest builds of Chrome Canary the developers noted a direct integration with the address bar now in its final stage.

Use is extremely simple: you just need to log in with your Google account on the official Gemini page. Once this is done, it will be possible ask questions to artificial intelligence directly from Google Chrome’s Omnibox. The feature will not be available by default and will need to be enabled in the settings.
