After presenting the U6H smart TV series at CES 2022, in the past few hours Hisense has announced a new range of smart TVs, the U6HF series which, this time, embracing Amazon’s smart platform, is the first entry into the world of Fire TVs. for the well-known Chinese brand.

Aesthetically similar to the previous series, which remains on sale, the new Hisense U6HF series goes to challenge Insignia and Toshiba since, for now in the 50-inch cut only, it adopts QLED technology: the panel used, resolute in 4K, contained between frames elegantly thin on 3 sides, it enjoys support for the main HDR standards (Dolby Vision HDR, HDR10 even plus), and the use of proprietary ULED technologies to enhance movement, contrast, colors and brightness. The company did not fail to emphasize, for the newcomer, a deep contrast and razor-sharp images, in the face of over 8 million pixels boasted.

Unfortunately, the Hisense U6HF smart TV has only 600 nits of peak brightness and, as for the refresh rate, it stops at 60 Hz: on the other hand, gamers will be able to count on 3 benefits, including the ALLM, Auto Low Latency Mode, the variable refresh rate, VRR, and Game Mode Plus which, in practice, reduces frame rate problems with recent consoles and reduces input lag.

Resting on a dark silver aluminum support, on the back the Hisense U6HF smart TV deploys many ports, among which it is possible to include a USB Type-A, a digital audio output for the old soundbars, an RJ45 for the LAN, the input for the coaxial cable, the AV In port, the headphone jack and an HDMI poker, with support for signals in 4K @ 60Hz: among the latter, the first also manages the ARC (Audio Return Channel) protocol and, consequently, it lends itself to supporting the most modern soundbars.

Thanks to the presence of integrated Fire TV, so as not to have to waste any of the 4 HDMIs, the use of Alexa is natively supported (by holding down the button on the supplied remote control, as opposed to the hands-free operation of Amazon’s Fire TV Omni) and are also the ability to have your favorite streaming apps (eg Prime Video, Hulu, Netflix, YouTube TV, HBO Max) or to control compatible home automation (eg viewing the streaming if someone rings the Amazon Ring or Blink doorbell). In pre-order from today on Amazon USA, the Hisense U6HF Fire TV will be shipped from next May 24th, for an investment of $ 529.99.
