The commitment to improvement that the WhatsApp team deepens in the well-known instant messaging that just a few hours ago had raised a thousand questions among its users about the first concrete sightings of the future WhatsApp Premium subscription plan knows no respite. In the past few hours, a new functional discovery has involved – this time – the groups.
Raised to a maximum of 512 members, the groups, from which it will soon be possible to silently disengage, are destined to change further. At least this seems to be the opinion of the WABetaInfo leakers who have had the opportunity to put their hand on the beta release 2.22.12.4 of WhatsApp for Android, made available by Menlo Park directly in the Play Store (if registered on the testers page: play.google. com / apps / testing / com.whatsapp), but also available through the ApkMirror online repository.
By subjecting this release to the reverse engineering procedure, the feature trackers discovered lines of code related to groups, and in particular to an inherent option known today as “View Past Participants”. Apparently, the same will be positioned on the page where it is possible to see the active members of the group, add others, leave the group or report it and, post it, it will allow you to view who has participated in the past (and therefore has left d) to the our groups.
At the present time, according to what was verified by the experts, it seems that this list is viewable by all users who are part of a given group, and not only by the administrators, as it would be more obvious: this could be attributed to the embryonic nature of the function , as mentioned, still under development and, therefore, it is possible that the same operating mechanism will change in the time phase that will precede its actual onset.
In the absence of details relating to the debut of the function that will allow you to view the list with the past members of a group, the advice of the experts is to always keep up to date with the latest beta release of WhatsApp, so as to be ready, first line, for the roll-out of the new functions which, as is known, almost always land first in the beta versions of the platform, only to arrive in the stable implementation phase only later.
