Thanks to the latest software update, more than 200 million devices will be able to view the contents of the famous Chinese video sharing platform. As long as the user has a smartphone that respects the minimum system requirements.
The announcement of the update was made during one of the most important electronics fairs internationally. And it followed an update of the official communication from TikTok.
What changes with the Chromecast update
Google made known the compatibility of TikTok with Chromecast within the CES: the Consumer Electronics Show which has been on stage for almost 60 years now.

How to watch TikTok on TV via Google Chromecast
Following Google’s announcement, too TikTok has updated its communication. Today, in fact, the official channels of the platform give precise instructions to the user on how to broadcast directly on Chromecast.
The procedure to follow is not very different from the one that allows you to connect TikTok to a smart TV compatible. The user must first check compliance with a series of smartphone requirements.
The devices Android must be updated at least atupdate 6.0 of the mobile operating system. While the iPhone must be updated at least ad iOS 12.0. After that you need to check that the device mobile and the TV are in use connected to a single Wi-Fi network.
The first thing to do is open the TikTok app and look for it entry named Share. The location of this entry may vary depending on the device or operating system you are using.
Then you have to select the device on which to transmit the contents: and here the user can choose his own smart TVjust as you can choose your own Google Chromecast.
If the device does not appear among those available, it is advisable to do so tap on the item named Update. To break the connection simply do tap on the entry named Tap to disconnect.
Per switch from Chromecast to another smart TV instead you need to look for the area dedicated to broadcast device banner. From here you need to select a new destination.
