We found a Reels on Instagram but we don’t know how to share it on Facebook or WhatsApp? Let’s see how to proceed.

Share Instagram Reels

Instagram Reels works in a very similar way to TikTok, thus showing vertical videos that are fun or based on what we like to see. We choose the content to view ourselves: the more content we see and appreciate, the more the service will adapt to our preferences.

Share Instagram Reels on Facebook or WhatsApp However, it may not be as immediate as you might think, sometimes some reels are blocked by privacy settings, other times the simple direct link works.

1) Direct sharing on Instagram

After finding an interesting Reels, press on the airplane-shaped icon at the bottom right, scroll through the various icons in the lower bar and press on the keys WhatsApp o Facebook based on the type of social network or app on which we want to share the video.

Once you press the button Facebook we will be asked if we want to share the Reels as a Facebook story or as news to be included in the feed; if we choose WhatsApp instead, simply select the personal chat or group chat in which to insert the video.

If for some reason the quick share buttons on Instagram do not appear, press the button Share and manually select the Facebook or WhatsApp app.

2) Sharing the Reels link

If the previous method didn’t work we can still paste the direct sharing link, thus showing the content on WhatsApp or Facebook starting from the original source.

To proceed, let’s go to the short video that entertained us or that we absolutely must share, press again on the airplane-shaped icon at the bottom right and this time press on Copy link. Now just go to the Facebook or WhatsApp app and paste the link you just copied, waiting just a few seconds to see the preview appear.

3) Download the video to share

We can’t share Reels on Facebook or WhatsApp in any way? In this case we can quickly remedy this by downloading the chosen video into the phone’s memory and sharing it manually, without going through the Instagram link or its sharing system.

The only truly effective Android app for downloading Reels videos from Instagram is SaveVideoavailable for free.

After installing this app, open it, accept the permissions and leave it active in the background. Now let’s open the Instagram app, go to our favorite Reels, press on the airplane-shaped icon and press on Copy link.

To conclude, we open the SaveVideo app, wait for the link to be recognized in the phone’s clipboard and press on Download to download the video. Once finished we can press on Share to send it immediately on WhatsApp or Facebook or, alternatively, use the Gallery app to view the downloaded video and then share it.

Conclusions

Sharing Reels directly on Instagram doesn’t always work well: on some videos it freezes or shows limits most likely linked to the permissions of the content owners (who only want to monetize on Instagram and not on other platforms).

In these cases the best solution is to download the video and share it manually with the SaveVideo appan absolute must-have in your set of apps to complement Instagram.
