iPhone 15 Pro: Apple fixes overheating issues with an update

Apple kept its promise and released an update to fix the overheating problem which struck quite a few iPhone 15 Pro e 15 Pro Max. The update to download is iOS 17.0.3 and is now available to all those who have an iPhone compatible with version 17 of the operating system (therefore not just 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max).

The debut of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max did not go as expected. The demand was very high (also in the pre-order phase), with several models still out of stockbut since the first days of use some users have noticed annoying anomalies, above all that of temperature elevate while using some applications. Initially it was thought it might be the “fault” of the new titanium framebut the Cupertino giant immediately silenced the rumors.

The analyst’s opinion also came later Ming-Chi Kuo, who pointed the finger at the thermal system design and suggested a solution only via a reduction in processor performance. Even in this case, however, Apple has exposed itself and declared that there is no intention to “weaken” the A17 Pro chip and that, on the contrary, the titanium and aluminum design of the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max guarantees dissipation of the even better heat.

A few days ago the Cupertino giant confirmed the existence of the bugcaused by some third-party apps (Instagram in particular) which overloaded the A17 Pro chip and has recently released it an update to fix it permanently.

This update includes important bug fixes, security improvements, and fixes an issue that may cause iPhone to run hotter than expected.

To download iOS 17.0.3 just go in Settings → General → Software Update. In addition, iPadOS 17.0.3 is also available.
