iQOO Neo 6: official the top range that raises the bar of mobile gaming

During an event held in the past few hours in China, iQOO, under the brand of Vivo of the BBK Electronics group, announced the expected top range for mobile gamers known as “iQOO Neo 6”.

The iQOO Neo 6 has a frame available in 3 colors which, due to the production processes, is substantiated with different weight and thickness: Punk and Blues, combined with a back in lycée leather, bring the weight to 193.95 grams and the thickness at 8,885 mm, while Black Jazz, in AG fluorite glass, brings the weight to 197.23 grams and the thickness to 8.5 mm. The front offers a 6.62-inch AMOLED display, provided by Samsung (therefore an E4 panel), with FullHD + resolution (1,080 x 2,400 pixels), panoramic ratio at 20: 9, 120 Hz refresh rate (starting from 60/90), 360 Hz touch sampling rate, extreme color fidelity (delta E ≈ 0.49, JNCD ≈ 0.39), 6 million: 1 contrast ratio, high brightness (1,300 nits peak) equal to Find X5 Pro’s Oppo, MEMC technology, two pressure sensitive areas, fingerprint scanner integrated at the bottom, Pixelworks Pro image chip (offers accurate colors in various ambient lighting situations and, on compatible games, e.g. those from NetEase, adjusts automatically parameters such as saturation, hue and contrast and automatically reconstructs the image details) and, at the top, a hole.

The latter, tiny, houses the 16 megapixel camera (S5K3P9, f / 2.0). Behind, a rather large rectangle on the left, formed by a lighter decorative section at the bottom, in a design that recalls that of a film, houses a triple camera, with a 64 megapixel Samsung main sensor (ISOCELL Plus GW1P, f / 1.89, optical stabilization), a 12 megapixel ultra-wide angle (116 °) (S5K3L6), and a monochrome (GC02M1B) for 2 megapixel depth.

In favor of imaging achievements, the manufacturer has provided the HDR RAW algorithm to improve night shots, used AI to reduce noise through a multi-frame system and in anti-glare function, introducing the camera app of the device also dual-view video functions, clips up to 4K, night mode, portrait mode, and 10x digital zoom. Sensory involvement is also enhanced by double linear motors (for the X and Z axis) for vibration, and by two closed-design stereo speakers (1210D + 1611B).

In terms of performance, the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 processor comes into play, capable of supporting LPDDR5 RAM (with Memory Fusion 2.0 for another 4 virtual GB) and UFS 3.1 overclocked storage: temperatures are always kept low, such as demonstrated by Genshin Impact performed with an average framerate of 59.73 fps without ever exceeding 44.8 ° on the back of the device, thanks to the use of rare earths, a three-dimensional system with 6 layers of graphite and a vapor chamber from 2396 mm².

In the iQOO Neo 6, the double-cell 4,700 mAh battery benefits from the 80W Flash Charge fast charge (20% in 3 minutes, with 5 minutes to go from 1 to 30%) while, at connectivity level, include GPS (A-GPS), Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.2, 4G LTE, 5G, microUSB Type-C, multifunction NFC, and infrared for the remote control function. The operating system, Android 12, is covered by the OriginOS Ocean interface, which brings features for privacy, and for gaming (block notifications, the algorithm of audio noise reduction, pre-update of games, trainer for and -sport, high frame low power mode and frame rate boost mode, Multi-Turbo 6.0).

In terms of price list, the 8 + 128 GB version of the iQOO Neo 6 is priced at 2,799 yuan (404 euros), against the 2,999 yuan (433 euros) of the 8 + 256 GB version, and 3,299 yuan (476 euros) than the 12GB + 256GB one. Moving on to accessories, iQOO also presented a Power Bank with Flash Charge at 44 W (to charge the gaming phone from 0 to 50 in 18 min), priced at 299 yuan (43 euros), and an Extreme Wind Cooling Back Clip Pro, which keeps the device to which it is applied cool, equipped with two USB Type-C ports, lighting with halo effect and a display for temperatures, listing it at 199 yuan (29 euros).
