Teams users can customize and control a avatar 3D during the meeting. Additionally, they will be able to interact with other avatars during the online session in a series of different virtual spaces, which Microsoft calls “immersive spaces”. As the Redmond company recalls: “Microsoft Mesh in Teams increases engagement in Teams meetings with ready-made 3D immersive spaces, built to meet your needs, whether it’s a group social meeting, a brainstorming session, or a panel discussion. Design an avatar to represent you and include everyone in the conversation. Host multiple simultaneous small group discussions with spatial audio, which allows for productive side conversations while brainstorming, just like in the physical world. This reduces cognitive load and increases the effectiveness of discussions”.
