A little more than a year after its predecessor, leading to the rumors that had been circulating for several months following some tests on well-known benchmarks, the second smartphone of the F series of this 2022 was presented in India by Samsung after the F23, represented by the Galaxy F13.

The new (on sale from 29 June) smartphone (165.4 x 76.9 x 9.3 mm, for 207 grams), designed in the colors Sunrise Copper, Waterfall Blue, Nightsky Green, comes with a drop notch on the front, frames contained on 3 sides but not on the chin, a fingerprint scanner placed on the side and, behind, the pill on the left that vertically aligns the photographic sensors. Lovers of wired headphones will certainly appreciate knowing that the 3.5mm mini-jack is stationed.

Visually, Samsung’s Galaxy F13 features a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display which, protected by Gorilla Glass 5 glass, is resolute in FullHD + (401 PPI), with a peak brightness of 480 nits, but not suitable for gaming. , given a value of 60 Hz for the refresh rate. The self-camera is 8 megapixel (f / 2.2) while, at the rear, a triple camera operates, with a main sensor of 50 (f / 1.8, 10x digital zoom, Pro mode, panorama, food, Deco Pic, FullHD video @ 30fps) , one ultra-wide angle of 5 (f / 2.2), and one for depth of 2 megapixel (f / 2.4).

In the experience of using a smartphone, today, however, it is also important which processor you rely on, since this choice has an impact on several levels, from fluidity to imaging, passing through the quality of the connection and the autonomy.

In this sense, Samsung has chosen to use its own eight-core processor (2.0 GHz maximum), or the Exynos 850, an 8-nanometer chip equipped with a Mali-G52 GPU but lacking a modem for 5G: in the Galaxy F13, in terms of memories, intended as RAM (virtually expandable by 4 GB via RAM Plus) and storage (extendable via dedicated slot for microSD max 1 TB), there are two possible combinations, in the guise of 4+ configurations 64 and 6 + 128 GB, respectively listed at 11,999 rupees (about 145 euros) and 12,999 rupees (about 158 euros).

In the Galaxy F13, equipped with GPS (A-GPS, Beidou, Glonass, Galileo), Bluetooth 5.0 LE, Wi-Fi ac dual band (direct, hotspot), and NFC, the rumors turned out to be correct: the Dual SIM with 4G it benefits from an automatic data switching mode, which switches from one card to another according to the quality of the line to always ensure the best connection. The energy section also seems adequate, with a battery of 6,000 mAh, which can be charged not too quickly, however at 15W, via microUSB Type-C, in the name of autonomy where a tangible contribution is given, under the proprietary OneUI 4.1 , from Android 12.
