Several rumors were ready to suggest that OnePlus is ready to launch its foldable smartphone on August 26th. After a while, however, other rumors anticipated that the launch would be delayed.
Actually it was because of a problem on the displaywith a company, BOEwhich has been replaced with another one, Samsung. Within some news that has arrived in these hours, however, new details may have come out, precisely regarding the screens.
In addition there would also be other noteworthy changes that would have been made at the very last to the new named device Open.
OnePlus, the new foldable Open brings some changes
It hasn’t been many hours since new rumors hit the web. Several analysts would have talked about big news within the new OnePlus Open but now there would also be some Images leaked thanks to some of the most famous tipsters.
The renderings have in fact shown a very different device from what had been noticed in the latest images leaked on the web. Obviously it must be clarified that the images in question could also be inaccurate, not being those intended for the press campaign.
Coming to the technical analysis, the smartphone is slightly wider than previous renders. In fact, it seems that the form-factor is going to closely resemble that of the Google Pixel Fold instead of that of the Galaxy Z Fold5. Looking at the display the corners near the hinge would have been rounded. Also the frames would turn out more thin according to the rumors.
Even the photographic sector it would appear to have changed from the last photos shown on the internet. The module with the cameras inside would be bigger and thicker, with a sensor unpublished which could be a ToF or a LiDAR. Finally the brand Hasselbladwith which OnePlus usually collaborates for cameras, would have been reduced to a simple “H“.
Is it all true or is it yet another hoax that is circulating on the web? Soon OnePlus should choose any doubt.
