Smaller and lighter? No, Apple Vision Pro is perfect like this (according to Apple)

The tech world today officially welcomed theApple Vision Pro, the first mixed reality headset from the Cupertino company. For debut day (US only), CEO Tim Cook paid a visit to the iconic Apple Store on 5th Avenue in New York City, where the glass cube was personalized for the occasion. But that is not all.

Wanting to provide more details on the innovative device and, obviously, to promote its launch, the CEO of the Californian giant released a long and certainly interesting interview with Vanity Fair. Tim Cook pointed out for example how the Apple Vision Pro is revolutionary as much for entertainment as for productivity.

You can also lie on the couch and place the screens on the ceiling if you want. I watched Season 3 of Ted Lasso on the Ceiling and it was amazing! I also think the meditation is on a different level than anything he’s ever experienced, and I’ve been mediating for a long time. And then I also use it for productivity.

As regards a problem that has emerged in all the reviews published online in recent days, namely theexcessive weight, some managers who participated on the front line in the creation of the viewer had their say. «There was nothing we could have done to make it lighter or smaller», explained Richard Howarth. «It seems that we have arrived from the future and brought this product with us. […] You are literally putting the future in your faceinstead, he declared Greg Joswiak.

Tim Cook on the price of Apple Vision Pro: “we gave it the right value”

Tim Cook again defined the company’s first headset as “magical”, a product destined to revolutionize the tech world but also the lives of users. «I think it will be used in many different ways, because it is a space computer. […] There are many possibilities for use, and there are over a million apps available. […] We have the technology of tomorrow today, that’s how I think».

Il Vision Pro ha a starting price of $3,499, and is therefore one of the most expensive viewers ever. Despite some criticism, the US CEO he has no doubt that the cost is right. «We believe we have given it the right value. Some people will pay for it in installments, others will just buy it. But who knows what may happen in the future».

Finally, during the interview given to Good Morning America at the Big Apple store, Tim Cook wanted to point out that the device will not “log out” users. «It’s not something you have to immerse yourself in, it’s a device that augments your reality. […] You and I can stand here and have a conversation with the Vision Pro and we can even look each other in the eye. But we can also see more, so it amplifies our connection». «It is a key project for us. We want people to be able to see each other’s eyes, not be obscured by a headset», concluded Cook.
