Waiting to know the distribution plans for Europe, three new soundbars, which TCL has created for home entertainment in 2022, have made their way to general attention, offering alternatives capable of satisfying every need.
After announcing several television news for 2022, the well-known Chinese brand TCL has shed light on a new triptych of soundbars, previously only hinted at, always destined to accompany home cinema lovers in the new year, at least up to the surprises that surely will manifest at IFA 2022 in that of September.
The first soundbar to be announced is the premium model C935U. Specifically, it is a 1.04 meter long specimen ideal to accompany the 65 “of the QLED C735 and C635 series of smart TVs: basic, it guarantees a power of 660W thanks to a 5.1.2-channel system that also uses a wireless subwoofer. Internally, it houses 3 drivers facing upwards, for the two height channels, with the third also serving to improve the vocal performance of the central channel: while already set up to support tracks in Dolby Atmos and DTS: X, the soundbar in question is able to guarantee (RAY DANZ technology) an even wider soundstage thanks to two speakers slightly angled towards the rear, in order to shoot the sound waves towards curved deflectors, with the result that the sound is “bounced” much further away than the soundbar actually is. When it comes to connectivity and ports, the TCL C935U soundbar boasts Bluetooth, has an optical digital input, two pass-through ports, and an HDMI 2.0 with eARC.
Intermediate level, 3.1 channels, but always with a wireless subwoofer, and still with a considerable 350W of power, is the TCL P733W soundbar. The latter, ideal for TVs from 43 “upwards as it is 91 cm wide, implements a USB port for reading some file formats, a 3.5 mm jack as analog input, an HDMI 1.4 with CEC (to control it with TV remote control) / ARC and an optical digital input.
Although it lacks support for DTS: X, it is still able to simulate 3D surround, thanks to DTS Virtual: X processing and, in addition to this, it does not lack the ability to optimize the sound according to the content (AI-IN ) and a function to enhance the bass (Bass Boost). The Multi-Connection function allows, when two devices are connected simultaneously, a quick switch from one to the other, while the Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity with Sound Sync manages the connection with a TCL smart TV of which it conveys the sound wirelessly at low latency.
Closes the review of the announcements, with its 200 W of power the tail light, or the TCL S522W soundbar. The latter, in its 81 cm of extension, conceals a 2.1-channel audio system that uses a wireless subwoofer for low frequencies: it connects to the TV via the analogue and optical digital input via the 3.5 mm audio jack, as an alternative to the ‘HDMI with ARC and Bluetooth 5.1, providing the user with both an equalizer and specific presets for news, movies and music.
