The Lenovo 10w and Lenovo 13w Yoga for teaching (and more) are ready for the summer

The arrival on the Italian market of Lenovo’s new teaching products is shortly after, represented by an online subscription filtering system, as well as the Lenovo 10w tablet and the Lenovo 13w Yoga convertible, both with Windows 11.

In recent days, the Didacta Italia Fair was held in the congress venue of the ancient Fortezza da Basso, in that of Florence, an event dedicated to hi-tech innovations for teaching: during the event, the Chinese brand Lenovo presented the Lenovo 10w tablet and the Lenovo 13w Yoga convertible, as well as NetFilter, an online safety system dedicated to the world of school.

Starting from the tablet, the Lenovo 10w, soon available on the Italian market for the starting price of 309 euros, measures 253.82 x 164.9 x 10 mm (18.2 with the optional 0.53 gram keyboard) and has a reinforced chassis (MIL-STD-810G ) also with anti-fall bumper and Gorilla Glass front, weighing 0.57 grams. Frontally, together with the 2 megapixel front camera for FullHD video lessons, it mounts a 10.1 inch FullHD IPS LCD display, with touchscreen (also usable with the optional removable pen, for taking notes) drawn up according to a panoramic aspect at 16:10.

On the back there is an 8 megapixel mono camera, which is useful in documenting a trip for example: the audio, on the other hand, relies on stereo speakers and the 3.5 mm combo jack. The adoption of the Windows 11 ARM operating system betrays the adoption, as a processor with integrated graphics, of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c Gen 2, supported by max 8 GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 128 GB of eMMC storage. Equipped with Bluetooth 5.1 and Wi-Fi ac connections, the Lenovo 10w is equipped with a microUSB Type-C door with which it charges the battery, from which the device derives an autonomy of up to 13.7 hours.

Also within the summer, but starting from € 899.00, the Lenovo 13w Yoga convertible will also arrive in Italy. Resistant to various types of impacts, bumps and harsh conditions (MIL-STD-810G), the new convertible for education employs a stain-resistant (optionally backlit) keyboard, a smooth Mylar cover for the touchpad, and a front protected by a Gorilla Glass. The chassis (305 x 216.8 x 17.6 mm, for 1.45 kg) mounts a 13.3-inch IPS LCD display, with 300 nits and touchscreen (also for the optional stylus support whose slot comes out near the power button): the webcam Basically, there is only one, that is the 2 megapixel front one with FullHD video but, optionally, a 5 megapixel one can be integrated on the back, to be used in tablet mode. The speakers are always stereo, with the benefit of Dolby Audio, and there is a 3.5 mm mini-jack.

For the processors, the manufacturer has chosen the U series of the Ryzen 5000, settable up to the Ryzen 7, obviously with integrated graphics: the RAM, DDR4, reaches a maximum of 16 GB and the storage, from 128 GB, expandable via microSD, it is of the SSD type, i.e. solid state. In the convertible Lenovo 13w Yoga, the ports are quite numerous, with even an HDMI 2.0 and a poker of USB 3.2 of the 1st generation, including two of type C. Also equipped with wireless connectivity Bluetooth 5.2, Wi-Fi ax / 6 and , optionally, via eSIM, of the 4G / LTE cat. 16, the Lenovo 13W Yoga convertible is equipped with a 51 Wh battery which, quickly charged (in 60 min from 0 to 80%) at 65W via Type-C, can cover up to 10 hours of operation, also thanks to the contribution of Windows 11 (optionally also Pro).

In conclusion, the software news. In addition to the LanSchool software for digital classroom management, the Lenovo NetFilter program, based on artificial intelligence, is now not only involved in protecting online (from phishing attacks, spyware, viruses, and cyber -bullying) pupils and teachers, but also filters the contents (avoiding the harmful ones).
