The next Apple Watches will understand health status from SWEAT

The number of people who usually train during the week is growing more and more. At the same time, those who wear a wearable are also increasingly numerous; among the most popular devices are the Apple Watch, available in various editions. For fitness they are the absolute best, whatever activity you decide to carry out.

Many people like to sweat because it indicates that they are getting a productive and strenuous workout. There are many others who hate sweating, because it means they are too hot or simply that they are in the middle of an uncomfortable situation. No one knew before that sweat could be used to collect data containing health information.

Apparently Apple engineers are working in this direction. The Cupertino giant would in fact have forwarded an application for patent entitled “Wearable devices with perspiration measurement capabilities“.

Sweat will tell how you’re doing: all thanks to future Apple Watches

Apple Watch Sweat Patent

The device with which Apple wants to exploit its patent is clearly the Apple Watch. As stated in the certification proposal forwarded to the relevant bodies, the technology used, using sweat, will provide you with information regarding your health and fitness. There is no doubt that the device on which the patent will be implemented is the giant’s smartwatch: just look at the photo above.

Apple states in the application filed with theUSPTOthat there will be a sensor capable of detecting sweat consisting of two electrodes and a processor configured to calculate the perspiration metric. Apple adds that a second sweat sensor could also be included, all within one Apple Watch model.

Clearly these sensors should be positioned on the back of the watch, the one in direct contact with the wrist. This solution would help users to know the data regarding the loss of fluids during the training session. From here you can then deduce the state of health with many other data. At the moment it is not known whether the patent will be certified, but the American company’s idea is once again revolutionary.
