As part of its promotional initiatives for spring, the Chinese brand Ulefone took the opportunity to formalize a new smartphone, known as Ulefone Armor X10 Pro (about 147.95 euros) which, although belonging to the category of rugged or armored phones, shows a rather “normal” design, with a much more comfortable form factor to keep in your pocket.

The Ulefone Armor X10 Pro (158.2 x 76.7 x 14.6 mm, for 256 grams, in gray or black) has a waterproof chassis according to IP68 / 69K standards, which ensure its resistance to diving for half an hour at 1.5 meters depth, and at high pressure and temperature sprays: the MIL-STD – 810G certification, on the other hand, allows it to be used in extreme contexts, for work and for adventurous outdoor entertainment. The merit of these certifications is the implementation of the underwater photography mode.

Along the perimeter, there are the small 3.5 mm jack for headphones, the slot for the two 4G SIMs (with VoLTE calls), the one for the microSD up to 128 GB for storage expansion, the microUSB Type-C in at the bottom and, on the left, a programmable button (associating various functions or apps to be launched to single, multiple touches and presses).

The display of the Ulefone Armor X10 Pro is a resolute IPS LCD panel in HD + (1,440 x. 720 pixels), with two very wide bezels at the top and bottom, useful for horizontal grip and to cushion the impact of falls on the short sides of the device: the front of side A houses the sensors for proximity, for ambient brightness, a notification LED, and the 5 megapixel self-camera (GC5035, f / 2.2), with selfie timer, embellishments, function mirror and face unlock. On the back, top left, a rectangular bumper houses a secondary depth sensor and, above all, a primary 20 megapixel sensor which, provided by Sony (IMX376, f / 1.8, 78.7 ° viewing angle, 6-lens lens ), shoot 1080p @ 30fps video, shoot time-lapse, slow motion, panorama, and enjoy night mode and burst of photos.

On the audio side, the Ulefone Armor X10 Pro boasts two 1216 speakers with a large acoustic chamber and smart amplifiers, capable of emitting up to 100 decibels (ideal for emitting a sound SOS), and an FM radio that works even without headphones.

The processing engine of the device, which gives it more than 21% of performance compared to the base model, is the MediaTek MT6762 octacore processor (2.0 GHz) with IMG GE8320 GPU, while the unique mnemonic set-up provides 4 GB of RAM and, always compared to its predecessor, a doubling of the storage, now equal to 64 GB. The connectivity section includes GPS (Beidou, Galileo, Glonass), dual band Wi-Fi ac, NFC for payments with Google Pay, and Bluetooth 5.0.

The battery, from 5.180mAh, which can be charged (not quickly) to 10W, promises 313 hours of stand-by or, in concrete use, 31 hours of telephone conversations: the device is out-of-the-box with Android 11. Together with device, the brand also presented an official case, obviously armored, with a clip to attach a carabiner.
