In a day absorbed by the launch of the top-of-the-range X80 Series, the Vivo brand also unveiled a lower quality smartphone, albeit mid-range, represented by the interesting Vivo S15e with processor by Samsung.
During the day that led to the presentation of the Vivo X80 Series, the Chinese brand of the BBK group also presented the Vivo S15e smartphone, with the OriginOS interface not yet applied to Android 12, but to the previous Android 11.
The Vivo S15e smartphone (159.7 x 73.6 x 8.49 mm, for 190.8 grams), designed in 3 colors, turquoise blue, black, similar to rose gold (“Peach”), has a display with a teardrop notch, where the 16 megapixel self-camera resides (f / 2.0, face unlock): the chin is slightly visible, minus the side frames, and even less the “forehead”. The display is a 6.44-inch AMOLED panel, resolved in FullHD + (therefore at 1080 x 2404 pixels), with a refresh rate of 90 Hz, an aspect ratio of 20: 9, an NTSC color gamut covered at 103%, and a scanner underlying biometric.
On the back, in a vertical totem that places the LED Flash on an external strip, there is a triple camera. The large port at the top houses the main sensor from 50 megapixel (f / 1.8, PDAF, video up to 4K @ 30fps), while the one at the bottom houses the ultra-wide angle sensor from 8 (f / 2.2) megapixel and one for macros, 2 megapixel (f / 2.4). The audio includes an FM radio.
The nerve center of the Vivo S15e device offers an octacore processor (with 4 Cortex A78 cores of 2.8 GHz and, for routine tasks, 4 Cortex A55 cores of 2.0 GHz) at 5 nanometers produced by Samsung, the Exynos 1080 with graphics card Mali-G78 MP10, in the mnemonic set-ups, of LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, of 8 + 128 GB, 8 + 256 GB and 12 + 256 GB, priced respectively at 1,999, 2,299, 2,499 yuan (corresponding, change in hand, to 284, 327, and 356 euros our own).
The prediction of the 66W SuperVOOC fast charge via microUSB Type-C allows the Vivo S15e to charge the 4,700 mAh battery from 0 to 50% in just 18 minutes. Connectivity includes 4 and 5G, Dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.2 LE (A2DP. AptX HD), NFC, GPS (A-GPS. Beidou, Galileo, Glonass, QZSS), Wi-Fi ac dual band .
