The famous instant messaging application of WhatsApp is always working to provide new functions to its users, as just done with regard to the Reactions, now improved: be careful, however, to keep your guard up, since in these days some hackers are trying to l ‘assault on user data by posing as part of the support team.

The first news of this week’s launch concerns a danger that spreads through WhatsApp, which is often used by hackers to conduct mass attacks, relying on its widespread use. Specifically, it emerged that some cybercriminals are contacting users pretending to support the platform: under these guises, hackers would ask for some data necessary to avoid account closure. such as the 6-digit sequence to log into your account, the two-step verification pin, or even personal information and / or credit card information.

The feature trackers of WABetaInfo, in highlighting that the WhatsApp support would never ask for such data, invites you to pay attention to the falsity of the support account that contacts them, which would place the check of verified account directly on the image, and not next to it. to the name, as it should be, in the contact info or in the conversations themselves. In case you come across a fake WhatsApp support, the advice of the experts is to report the account (and block it), with the system that will send the history of the last 5 messages to the assistance team, the real one, to give him more context in making the decision to block that given fake account.

In recent days, WhatsApp has released the Reactions to messages, through the beta 2.22.8.3 for Android, only to withdraw them after a while and redistribute them, again for a few users, with the beta 2.22.9.4. With the distribution of the very recent beta 2.22.10.9 for Android, WhatsApp has allowed us to see how the system will work to choose more of the 5 basic emojis offered as Reactions. In particular, by pressing on a message, in the Reactions bar that will appear, you can see a button on the right which, when pressed, leads to the emoji selector, where you can choose the emoticons you want.

At the moment, however, specify the discoverers of the novelty, also from the WABetaInfo group, this option is provided only to those who have received its activation from a remote server.
