After a 2023 marked by great innovations in the field of artificial intelligence, it seems that this year that has just arrived will not be any different. 2024 will be the year when Google will double its AI efforts and add AI to all its products and services.

So far the company has already done a commendable job, introducing this feature in Google Docs, Gmail, YouTube and other services. Google Assistant should also be ready to receive integration with by now Bardthe famous chatbot that competes for the scepter with ChatGPT.

All this was announced by the company at the launch event of its Pixel 8 smartphones last October. Although there are currently no clear timelines regarding the restyling of the Bard assistant and its entry into force, many new details have emerged on how the integration will work.

The latest news that has leaked onto the web over the last few days clearly indicates that Bard will replace the existing voice assistant experience on compatible devices.

This means that Bard can probably be summoned by saying “Hey Google” or perhaps long-pressing the power button. There will be a dedicated page in the app Google search which will also highlight Bard integration. All with a slide switch at the top, so you can alternate between normal search and the chatbot.

Also there will be a pop-up window which will appear when the new Bard-based Google Assistant is activated, where you can ask questions by writing, speaking or sharing a photo.

Google Assistant is also available for iPhone via an app, but Bard integration is unlikely to arrive for Apple during the early period. We will therefore have to wait a little longer, but it seems that the decisive steps have been taken. Artificial intelligence is making great strides and in Mountain View they seem to be ahead.
