YouTube has no intention of falling behind and, to keep up with new trends and the rapid birth of new successful social networks and platforms, it is updating its offer, implementing new interesting features that attract the curiosity of some market niches, such as of gamers. As announced in recent months, it has recently been made available in the first markets YouTube Playables, currently in the experimental phase: let’s find out what it is.
The inspiration comes directly from other platforms that have adopted a similar strategy to broaden your target audience and attract more and more users. Just think of Netflix, which added Netflix Games, a section dedicated to gamers with an offer that includes more than 50 exclusive games for mobile devices.
YouTube Playables, the new section for playing on the platform
Quick, light and fun games. This is what YouTube users will be able to enjoy with the new YouTube Playables feature. This is a real added section, which will be visible in a special tab, and which includes mini-gaming that can be started before or after watching a video or during breaks.
Users will be able to view all available titles in the dedicated area and launch them quickly by clicking Start game without having to download the game onto your device. A great advantage, as members will be able to test and enjoy more games without putting the storage space of their smartphone or tablet at risk and without having to wait too long before carrying out the activity.
In these first few weeks YouTube Playables is being released and is only available in some markets and for a limited number of users, but could be activated for more people in the coming days.
YouTube Playables, who can use it
They can currently use YouTube Playables only those who are subscribed to YouTube Premium. A temporary condition, which could change in the future with the introduction of a new type of subscription that includes access to games.
They would currently be present more than 30 games on the platformall available for free, at least until March 28, 2024. You can play through the official YouTube application for mobile devices, compatible with both device equipped with iOS and Android operating systems, and on desktop, by connecting to the platform website and logging in with your account.
For now the function it was not released to Europen users, but significant changes could already take place in the next few days. To ensure that you are among the first to be able to experience YouTube Playables as soon as it is active on the market, you must frequently update the application to the latest version available.
