WhatsApp, its file sharing function is coming

WhatsApp, its file sharing function is coming

Conventionally, WhatsApp is currently the messaging app that users use the most, especially with friends and family. The trump card of this platform was the assiduous frequency with which it reported updates and news and apparently some upcoming changes could soon further surprise the public. In fact, the giant intends to simplify the file transfer.

This functionality was recently discovered in some beta versions not yet distributed to all developers registered with the program. According to reports, it appears that only a few minor changes are needed to bring it up to par with popular file-sharing features. There are also those who argue that the new WhatsApp feature could replace specific features inherent in operating systems such as AirDrop on iOS and Quick Share on Android.

WhatsApp is preparing its file sharing function: it is currently in the testing phase

Ready for the arrival of a new file sharing feature via Bluetooth? WhatsApp is developing one that will allow, exactly like the aforementioned AirDrop and Quick Share, to exchange files of all kinds with users nearby.

WhatsApp file-sharing file sharing feature update

In reality, already in January we started talking about the feature which today is much closer to the official launch as the tests are continuing apace. According to reports that appeared on the web, the engineers would have added some new details to the interface. In the images you can see a screen that informs you how everything works and what permissions are needed. The content would be available in the release 2.24.9.22 of WhatsApp beta currently on the Google Play Store.

Everything will be simple and intuitive: all you need to do is use one dedicated section within WhatsApp to find nearby users. With Bluetooth and Wi-Fi you can then continue exchanging files, with the recipient also having to enter the dedicated section.

Everything happens in the name of total privacy: the app ensures that file sharing will remain shielded from the screen encryption end-to-end.
