The Chinese brand AGM has returned to propose a new smartphone for extreme work situations, fielding, after the Glory G1S (which now the brand has specified to be the same as the new model but without a thermal imaging camera), the new G1S Pro which, priced at 4,499 yuan (about 630 euros), it is animated by the X OS 6.0 interface based on Android 11.

The new device, with important dimensions (14.8 mm thick for 315 grams of weight), enjoys all the certifications of the case, such as IP68 and IP69K for water resistance (up to 1.5 meters for an hour) and MIL-STD-810H for endurance (e.g. falls from 1.5 meters). At the front, it incorporates a resolute 2340 × 1080 pixel LCD panel, with a 6.53-inch diagonal, and 60 Hz refresh rate: the 4 megapixel self-camera is obtained thanks to a Sony IMX471 sensor. The fingerprint scanner is located behind while at the top, in the short high edge, there is a laser pointer: the structure also includes a hole to insert a lace with which to carry it hooked to the backpack or belt. Of course, there is also a programmable button.

Behind, in a cruciform scheme operates a complex multi-chamber. The 48 megapixel Sony IMX582 sensor is the main one, and is flanked by one for night vision, Sony IMX350, 20 megapixel, also ideal for finding hidden cameras, and one for macros, 2 megapixel (Gekewei GC02M1) . In addition, there is a professional-level THERMAL IMAGING thermal imaging camera: to confirm this nature, parameters such as the thermal resolution (256X192), the thermal refresh rate (25Hz), the detection distance (40 meters but, with large objects, even 100), and the temperature measurement range (-20 degrees to 550 degrees).

The IR Camera app measures the temperature of objects framed in an area, allows the AR mode (thermographic photo superimposed on the normal one), the color palette for classification (e.g. the rainbow palette allows you to use white to find hot objects), and extracts “information about the temperature of the area, as well as creates a report to share with friends or colleagues“.

At the helms, the Snapdragon 480 octacore processor is flanked by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, expandable via microSD by another 512 GB. Other data communicated for the AGM G1S Pro data sheet include the 5,500 mAh battery that can be quickly charged to 18W, the 3.5 mm mini-jack, 5G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and the NFC module for contactless payments.
