With the arrival of the brand new ones Samsung Galaxy S24the South Korean company in collaboration with Google showed the world the brand new feature Circle and searchone of the most interesting finds on Androidwhich allows you to exploit the potential of Google LensBig G’s voice assistant and, of course, Galaxy AI.

It is important to remember that the functionality is currently only available on Galaxy S24 series smartphones and will soon arrive on Google Pixel 8. Having said that, let’s see how Circle and Search works and how to best use it.

How Circle and Search works

The Circle and Search function works simply and intuitively and allows owners of a Samsung Galaxy S24 to exploit the gestural navigation per highlight an item on the screen of the device e start the image search are Google.

To use it, just activate Google assistant (through Home button or the bar for gestural navigation depending on the device). Once the assistant is listening, all that’s left to do is physically circle any point on the screen to start the search for what is displayed in that portion of space.

The function can be used at any timeincluding when playing multimedia content and, after highlighting the area to be explored, all you have to do is wait for Google Lens to do the rest, showing the result of its work on the screen.

If the results obtained were not accurate enough it is possible type more information on the search bar and “help” Google to delve deeper into the topic, requesting a more refined and targeted search.

At this point, all that remains is scroll through the various results obtained and find the answers to each question quickly and easily.

What changes for users

The Circle and Search function is clear evidence of Google’s great attention to related functionality to artificial intelligence and all the various applications of its ecosystem, primarily Google Lens and the voice assistant.

It may seem obvious to say it but for the user everything changes, because this new feature radically overturns the “old” idea of web query which, for the first time, it becomes gestural and no longer textual.

With this system, the use and enjoyment of the search engine is significantly speeded up, effectively eliminating the need to ask (and in some cases describe) something so that Google can respond efficiently to our questions.

By doing so, the user will only have to highlight something that attracts their curiosity and let Lens and Big G do the rest, significantly improving the user experience and allowing people to have more information about things too that they may not be able to identify.

Moreover, such a system can be also used for shoppingwith the ability to search for the products you need by simply highlighting them during an advertisement, for example, a multimedia content From one streaming platform or from one photo from the web o saved on your device.
