A little more than a year after the last model, the Singaporean brand Creative Technology has announced a new model of smart headphones, the Zen Hybrid, already in pre-order (with availability from 1 July) on the official store of the brand, at the price of 109.99 euros.
The Creative Zen Hybrid headphones are characterized by a soft padding both on the over-ear pads and on the headband, in order to reduce the pressure on the head: the control buttons are present in the right pavilion. In each of the two pavilions, there are 40 mm neodymium drivers that ensure powerful bass but also crisp highs and mids (ideal for instrumental pieces): by combining feedforward and feedback microphones, active hybrid noise cancellation, ANC, is implemented. to remove up to 95% of surrounding annoyances. In any case, you can easily activate the ambient mode to stay aware of what is happening around you or to talk to those around you.
Also in favor of listening, Bluetooth 5.0 supports the AAC and SBC codecs (but not the codecs for the high resolution LDAC and aptX) and the Super X-Fi holographic sound technology that simulates the sensation of being at the heart of a multi-speaker system. On the phone side, there is a microphone that ensures clear conversations thanks to noise cancellation technology.
Without proximity sensors, and the multi-point, but on the other hand with a foldable design that facilitates transport, the Creative Zen Hybrid headphones model ensures autonomy ranging from 27 (without) to 37 hours (with the ANC), benefiting through the microUSB Type-C port (destined to be the universal charging standard in Europe) from fast charging which, in just 5 minutes of refilling, gives an extra 5 hours of operation.
Finally, always from an autonomy point of view, thus also giving an explanation to the name of the product, the presence of a 3.5 mm jack, which will allow the user to use the Zen Hybrid even in wired mode, perhaps when short of energy. , so as not to interrupt the listening in progress.
