Google SGE, artificial intelligence arrives in search results

The Mountain View giant had anticipated it during the Google I/O conference and now it has started implementing a new feature called Search Generative Experience (SGE)bringing the results generated by artificial intelligence in stile ChatGPT directly into your own search engine. The feature is now available for US users enrolled in the program Search Labs.

SGE can handle complex searches and return information based onartificial intelligence within one dedicated colored section just below the search bar. This is a significant change from the Traditional Google SERPwhich is white with ten links in blue.

A dedicated button allows you to expand the interface and check the information. In the mobile version, however, the answers provided are available on a carousel.

Below the AI ​​response form is the option to ask follow up questions or ask for your own. This command will start the “conversational” mode with a chatbot which will take into account the context of the previous questions to provide further answers.

Finally, Search Labs has incorporated two new features. “Code Tips” offers smart and fast coding information for a variety of programming languages, tools and algorithms, such as C, C++, Go, Java, JavaScript, Kotlin, Python, TypeScript, Docker, Git and Shell. “Add to Sheets” allows users to directly embed search results into existing workbooks without hassle.
