Google stops Gemini on human imaging

Many people have expressed their negative opinion over the last day regarding artificial intelligence Gemini. The new system, which was initially called Bard, is now represented by a new LLM called Gemini Pro, which apparently has made some rather notable errors. These would concern the generating images of peoplemore precisely historical inaccuracies.

In fact, more people have found themselves faced with the generation of Nazi hierarchs with black skin. More specifically, over the past few days a user had asked Gemini to generate an image of a German soldier of the year 1943; in response, the artificial intelligence showed four images: the first of a white complexion, the second of a black complexion and two Asian women. The errors are therefore clear.

During the last few hours, Google announced that it had temporarily “paused” generating images of people within Gemini. Initially, when the problem began to arise from users, Google spoke clearly, saying that it was working to fix it. However, it seems that the situation has literally gotten out of hand because at the moment everything is at a standstill.

Starting now, users who try to generate an image in Gemini that includes a person, the artificial intelligence will respond peremptorily with not being able to do it.

According to what was stated in the answer, the functionality “will return soon” and Google will notify users via its official blog. At the same time, nothing appears in the same blog regarding Gemini’s hiatus.

The giant spoke via platform X, stating that it is working to resolve the problem. However, the stop later arrived, contrary to what users expected. Indeed, the image generation service had begun right at the beginning of February.
