Intel: ASUS will develop the next NUC mini PCs

Just a week ago Intel greeted the NUC Mini PC range confirming that it has no intention of continuing the production of this segment of devices. In his place, Pat Gelsinger and associates have therefore decided to select a partner who is already a computer manufacturer ready to take the place of the US giant. Just in these hours the official announcement of a has arrived agreement with ASUS for the production and sale to customers of NUC Mini PCs existing and new generation.

ASUS will take care of the development, production and sales of the product line of 10th to 13th generation NUC systems, also preparing the next generation NUC PCs. From entry-level designs to high-end solutions, the American giant leaves the projects in the hands of ASUS defining it as the best partner in this adventure.

The details of the deal are not known, but it is clear that ASUS will get some kind of special treatment compared to other NUC system vendors. The Asian company will likely develop an entirely new and separate unit known as the ASUS NUC BU that will allow it to provide product continuity and support for the existing Intel NUC system.
