Panasonic unveils the 4K PT-FRQ60 projector with 6,000 lumens images and creative options

Panasonic also continues to expand, with a certain regularity in terms of announcements, its list of products dedicated to image technology, through the deployment of a new 4K laser projector baptized as Panasonic PT-FRQ60.
Panasonic unveils the 4K PT-FRQ60 projector with 6,000 lumens images and creative options

Almost a month after the last announcement, the Japanese brand Panasonic has announced the availability of a new smart projector, called PT-FRQ60 which, already available, is suitable for schools in the scientific-technological field, for places of entertainment dedicated to eSports, offices and digital museums.

The new Panasonic PT-FRQ60 has a virtually unchanged design compared to the previous (a few weeks) PT-FRQ50, which however exceeds in terms of brightness, fielding images from 6,000 Ansi Lumen against the 5,400 of the other model. Technically, the projector uses Solid Shine laser projection technology based on a single DLP chip with a 1920 × 1080 pixel matrix. Thanks to the Quad Pixel Drive technology, which translates each pixel on two axes quite quickly, almost as if in the same instant a single pixel were in four different positions, it is possible to obtain a growth in details such as to reach 4K resolution ( 3840 × 2160 pixels) with which the product is advertised.

The image is also enhanced by the Rich Color Enhancer technology, which makes the images more vivid, bringing them closer to the original quality, and the refresh rate at 240 Hz (at 1080p), for frenetic action scenes or when gaming: if desired, in case it is necessary to use them in live entertainment contexts or in theme parks, it is possible to use the Panasonic PT-FRQ60 projector to project, on moving objects, with millimeter precision (up to 240 Hz) thanks to the proprietary technology (in synthesis an optional SDK) of projection mapping with real-time tracking ET-SWR10: using the Geometry Manager Pro kit, instead, it is possible not only to obtain sophisticated masking capabilities, but also to automatically manage Edge Blending (e.g. when combining multiple projectors for a panoramic image).

On the installation side, the Panasonic PT-FRQ60 projector takes advantage of the 2x zoom, the Free Grid function (with grids of “2 x 2, 4 x 4, 8 x 8 or 16 x 16 lines” and the option to choose the color per grid and control point), and the shifting of the lens, vertically (from -48, + 71%) and horizontally (-27, + 34%), to ensure a certain flexibility in mounting, being able to remove from the images distortions, positioning them correctly.

Capable of running for 20,000 hours of maintenance-free projection, thanks to the filterless and liquid cooling system, the Panasonic PT-FRQ60 projector integrates two HDMI inputs (for signals up to 4K / 60p) with support for CEC (to control the projector with remote control of the TV or any other connected source) and the single cable DIGITAL LINK technology, which allows to carry uncompressed video signals even at long distances (in long reach mode up to 150 meters), providing further support to simplify installation “in areas of any size.”
