The weekly round of Realme announcements starts from the internal market, which in China has just presented the Realme Q5x, a low-end smartphone, little versed in the photographic field, but with a lot of autonomy, the audio jack and a lateral physical fingerprint.

Realme is starting to be a “hot” week, with the Chinese brand of the BBK group that has announced in China the new entry level smartphone Realme Q5x, in pre-order (with sales from 23 June) for just 999 yuan, equal to around 142 euros, in the two colors Star Blue and Ink Cloud Black.
Fourth member of the Q5 series, the Realme Q5x (164.4 x 75.1 x 8.1 mm for 184 grams) opts for a front with a water drop notch at the top, and a fairly thick chin at the bottom: stylistically, things are better on the side edges, flat (ideal for hosting the fingerprint scanner), and on the rear camera design, in which the sensors are inserted into two “buttons” of equal size, one of which is flanked by the LED flash. The display, a 6.5-inch IPS LCD panel, is extended on 88.7% screen-to-body according to an aspect ratio of 20: 9, with an HD + resolution of 720 × 1600 pixels, a 60 Hz refresh rate, 270 PPI, and 400 nits of brightness.
The self-camera is 5 megapixel, and things are not much better even behind: the dual post camera has a main sensor of 13 megapixel and a secondary sensor for depth, of 0.3 megapixel: on the other hand, there is the mini-jack from 3.5mm for wired headphones and earphones.
The MediaTek Dimensity 700 processor provides, together with the six 2 GHz Cortex-A55 efficiency cores, the two 2.2 GHz Cortex-A76 performance cores, in addition to the Mali-G57 MC2 graphics card: in the Realme Q5x it is foreseen, in terms of memories , in terms of the combination of RAM and storage (expandable via microSD), only one structure, that of 4 + 64 GB. Performance aside, the energy, sufficient for 2 days of activity, is instead provided by the 5,000 mAh battery, which can be charged at 10W via microUSB Type-C.
The connectivity provided with the Realme Q5x are Dual SIM, 4 and 5G, GPS (A-GPS), Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0: the operating system hidden by the proprietary Realme UI 3.0 interface is Android 12. .
