Some Galaxy S24s have a problem: the colors on the display are washed out

The moment seems to be particularly favorable to the Android side as far as smartphones are concerned. The launch of the new Samsung Galaxy S24 line has put users in front of a triptych of truly high-performance devices, among which the Galaxy S24 Ultra.

This comes with a myriad of new features, including those related to artificial intelligence, called Galaxy AI. The top of the range itself proved to be very resistant during the first tests, especially as regards the screen. It is very difficult to scratch and break it, but apparently the problem could be something else. In fact, some users would have reported it faded colorsespecially compared to older models like the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Faded colors reproduced by the display, users disappointed by the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

It appears that the number of Galaxy S24 Ultra owners reporting faded colors on their devices is growing. A post has reportedly been made on Samsung’s official pages, with the creator opening a dialogue directly with Samsung. A diagnostic check of the device was performed remotely, using the Smart Tutor tool. The result? No software problems.

The user in question, as well as many others who commented on his post, speculate that this could be due to the new screen Gorilla Armor. In addition to being the “strongest Gorilla Glass Corning has ever made,” the new Gorilla Armor also significantly reduces reflections. Since this is a new addition that arrived with the Galaxy S24 Ultra that didn’t exist on the Galaxy S23 Ultra and previous models, it could all be explained.

A new post published on Reddit would have proposed a different theory, that is, activating settings related to the display. In fact, by entering the dedicated section, someone would have changed the setting moving from natural tones to more lively ones. The result would not be so exciting but the solution should be around the corner.

A user in possession of a Samsung Galaxy S24+ stated that he spoke to customer support who in turn reported having to issue a software update.
