Engaged in developing many new functions, including the one that will allow you to quietly exit from groups, WhatsApp instant messaging is preparing to cease support for some old versions of iOS, with the consequence that very old iPhones will no longer be able to use such a chat platform. The latter, in the meantime, is also dedicating a lot to the Reactions which, after having been made available to everyone in the past few weeks, are preparing for new changes.

As known, WhatsApp is working on the possibility of making users use any emoji to react to messages, but the Reactions function could also evolve well beyond this step. The news were the WABetaInfo leakers who have put their hands on a beta of messaging for iOS, although what has been discovered is given as being in development for Android and Desktop as well. Specifically, it is about remedying a gap that is currently recorded, when someone gives a reaction to a photo or video contained in an album that is automatically generated when sharing multiple multimedia elements in succession.

In this case, it is impossible to see who reacted to what in that album, without opening it: this problem could, in the future, be solved. The screenshots extracted from the reverse engineering of WABetaInfo made it possible to ascertain the preparation of “detailed information on reactions for automatic albums”.

This, thinking about the images shared publicly by the insiders, provides that, while now the number of reactions given for each emoji are counted, with the possibility of seeing which emoji a given user has released, in the future there will be an extra level of detail as each line will reveal not only who reacted with what, but also to which image a specific reaction was given, simply by superimposing the Reaction on the recipient image.

As always happens with the discoveries not officially confirmed by Menlo Park, also in this case there are no details that suggest the timing of the release of this improvement which, however, almost certainly, in case of launch, will see the light first in the beta channel. and then in the stable one of WhatsApp.
